PARTHENAIS CATTLE AT MARINA THIS SITE IS TO LET PEOPLE KNOW THE TYPE OF CATTLE WE ARE TRYING TO BREED ON OUR FARM. We first started to breed Parthenais cattle in 2002, after our farm was hit by Foot and Mouth disease in 2001. We restocked with some parthenais cross in-calf heifers, and when they calved they had three-quarter bred calves. They all calved easily and were of a good shape and grew well. We decided to go into breeding pedigree cattle - the first pedigree on the farm was Resille, which we imported from France in 2002.
